Back to School Time! Yay!...or, Dread?

I always loved back to school. I loved shopping for school supplies, walking into Staples and touching the new notebooks, pens, pencils--***sigh*** it's just like heaven to me! But, even as an ADHD'er, I enjoyed school and all the academicky (made up word :)) that came along with it. The ability to learn, to grow, to become better was just something I couldn't (and still can't) get enough of. But, that's not always the case for kids, and especially kids with ADHD. Kids with ADHD tend to have a lot of feelings of being overwhelmed when it comes to organization. This is in large part because breaking down what it takes to get prepared for academic activities is complex, and seeing the different parts to get to the end goal is sometimes too much for them to follow through.
